However, it turns out that behind her success story, Reita has an interesting background which can motivate women out there so that whatever their backgroundis, it is not an obstacle to achieving success.
“Back in the early 90s, I was very interested in beauty contests such as participating in the selection of campus women in Bandung. At first, I didn't really want to go, but my friends finally convinced me. Even though I lost at first, I didn't mind, because for me the most important thing is to have fun. "However, luck turned out to be on my side, when I got the opportunity to enter the semifinals and ended up being one of the finalists," said Reita, quoted from the Mirae Asset Sekuritas YouTube channel, Tuesday (17/10/2023).
"One of the sponsors of the beauty contest, Bank Niaga, opened up job opportunities for the winners as part of their program," she continued.
From there, Reita started as a mathematics student, without any previous plans, finding himself in the world of finance, starting his career as a banker.
“Even though at first, I didn't think about it, I eventually found satisfaction in working as a banker. However, because I was still in college at that time, life felt difficult. However, I feel that the knowledge I have gained is very valuable," said Reita.
After completing college, Reita decided to pursue a master's degree in finance to strengthen his educational background.
After several years in banking, his last position was as senior assistant vice president overseeing the branch with the largest turnover and assets in Indonesia.
During this time, Reita met many securities companies as members of the stock exchange, which made him further sharpen his interest in the capital market.
Then in 2004, after 14 years in the banking industry, Reita decided to move to the capital market industry, where she eventually became the president director of STAR Asset Management.
May Reita's life story in her career journey inspire women out there that regardless of your educational background or environment, nothing can prevent you from achieving success. Just like Reita, who started her career as a mathematics student, participated in campus beauty pageants, and eventually took on leadership roles in the capital market industry.
